Porsche Appoints New Manager, Media Relations for the United States
ATLANTA--Today, Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) announces the appointment of Steve Janisse (38) as Manager, Media Relations, effective August 1, 2009. Reporting to Bernd Harling, General Manager, Public Relations, Janisse will oversee all media related activities of Porsche in the U.S. market.
“We are very excited to have Steve join our PCNA PR team to continue our momentum and responsiveness towards all segments of the American media,” says Harling. “With his extensive industry background in the U.S. and Europe, he is superbly qualified to help enhance the dialogue between Porsche and the increasingly diverse structure of opinion shapers in this country.”
Janisse joins Porsche from GM where he has spent over 10 years of his career in various PR functions with Chevrolet, Saturn, GM Europe and Saab. Based in Atlanta, he will be heading the PCNA media relations team of three seasoned professionals. While Product Communications Managers Gary Fong and Dave Engelman are responsible for all media information related to Panamera/Cayenne and sports cars, respectively, Tony Fouladpour, Business Communications Manager, is responsible for all corporate and industry related news.
Janisse will relocate with his wife and two children from Detroit to Atlanta as soon as possible.
