Crum Proves Diversity at Newport Speedway
Newport, TN: Jake "the snake" Crum is proving week by week that he could be one of the most diverse drivers in the south. Crum, the 2008 UARA Stars Champion, has a strong showing in his first Pro All Star Series (PASS) South race this weekend in the #99 car with Teddy Mann.
Although Crum qualified twelfth of eighteen he was able to move up quickly at the start of the race and was able to hold in the top three most of the night. With only three laps to go Ben Rowe and Crum were fighting for 2nd place. Crum was able to move ahead and challenge Jay Fogleman for the checkered flag but was unable to pass.
"Teddy Mann did a great job getting the car ready this week. This is definitely a strong car and we were able to make a hard push for a first place finish in the end. We are proud to be racing with Mr. Mann and proud of our first PASS South finish," said Team Crum Motorsports owner, Billy Crum.
August 1st Crum will be looking for the number one spot in the Super Late Model Series with Teddy Mann at Newport Speedway.
