STAR Improves Interoperability with Latest Transport Release
MCLEAN, Va., July 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), a global information technology (IT) standards body for retail automotive and related industries, has released a new major version of its transport specifications.
This latest release of the STAR Transport Guidelines incorporates several important changes over previous releases. In the past year STAR has worked with our Automotive and Truck members to create a single transport specification. Included in this version is information on minimum requirements to meet STAR's new Level 1 requirements for interoperability, updates for the Web Services section to include currently published STAR "Web Services Specifications", and the addition of the "Web Services Quick-Start Guide" to help with implementing STAR Web Services.
The STAR Transport Guidelines document provides an overview of recommendations and specifications to facilitate the exchange of data between STAR trading partners.
