Ducote Turns In Top-10 Run In Lites - LMP1 Effort Not So Much

Lime Rock, July 19, 2009: Sitting in for current Intersports IMSA Lites driver Kyle Marcelli, Chapman Ducote produced strong P9 performance in yesterday's event at the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock. Unfortunately, he and his LMP1 team-mates Jon and Clint Feld didn't do quite as well, as their StrategicAir Lola fell prey to a terminal drivetrain failure.

"I wish we could have done better in the LMP1 car," said Chapman. "But unfortunately mechanicals will occur periodically regardless of the quality of our race prep. Lime Rock is a short and mechanically violent racetrack and we simply broke something. But unfortunately we won't be able to get at the root of the problem until we get the car back to the shop. Nonetheless, we'll bounce back and get ready for the Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio next month."

Ducote and the Feld brothers continue to run third in the 2009 ALMS LMP1 Championship.
