Buckle-Up Kentucky 150, with current point leader Parker Kligerman posting the fastest time overall (30.004 second/179.976 mph). Kligerman, a Penske Development Driver who has won four out of the last five ARCA RE/MAX Series races, heads into Saturday's Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell with the knowledge that his practice times on Friday surpassed the one-lap ARCA RE/MAX Series track record at Kentucky Speedway (30.213 seconds/178.730 mph) set by Erin Crocker in 2007. "That run was a qualifying run and I don't think it will be replicated in the qualifying run tomorrow because it will be a lot hotter outside so the track will be much slicker although I have to say it's pretty cool to go around this track at nearly 180 mph," said Kligerman, who qualified a career-best second one week ago at Iowa Speedway. "We worked on the race setup more and therefore I know we have a pretty good racecar--that's what we usually focus on and that's what we head into each race weekend preparing for. Although performing well in the race is always our main goal we probably devoted more time than usual to qualifying runs during the second practice session here because we felt like we have a chance at earning the pole this weekend. Earning a pole is something that would be cool because you get bonus points and we are leading the point standings right now but race performance is definitely our priority." Brian Ickler ended up second to Kligerman on the final practice charts after sitting at the top of the boards for much of the practice session. Frank Kimmel, a four-time Kentucky Speedway ARCA race winner, was third, followed by Brad Reithmeyer in the No. 32 Wolfpack Rentals Toyota. Dirt track racing veteran Josh Richards was fifth overall in the No. 11 Rockingham Speedway-Holland Pumps Ford. The second practice session was slowed on two occasions; the first caution appeared 15 minutes into the session when Brent Brevak made contact with the turns three and four walls in his No. 31 Brevak Racing Dodge. A second caution occurred to clear oil off of the track after Darrell Basham's engine expired in the No. 34 Anti Monkey Butt Powder Chevrolet. Earlier in the day, Mobile, Alabama's Grant Enfinger topped the speed charts during the first practice session, followed by Justin Lofton, Alli Owens, Joey Coulter and Parker Kligerman. The next on-track activity for the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Kentucky Speedway is Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell, which rolls off on Saturday at 5 p.m. Saturday's Click It or Ticket.
