Daly Looks Forward To Autobahn Doubleheader

Joliet, July 17, 2009: As one of five winners in the Star Mazda Championship this season, Mazdaspeed driver Conor Daly is prepared and ready for the doubleheader at the Autobahn Raceway. After completing an exciting podium run on the high-banks of Iowa, Conor is looking forward to more familiar turf on the 20-turn road course across the rolling terrain of North Eastern Illinois. The racetrack's configuration offers old-world competitive charm that clearly echoes the history of a bygone racing age.

"The track is very complex and its elevations and surface changes are a challenge," Conor said. "We had a good test there three weeks ago but race weekends always throws up different scenario as the track gets more and more rubber laid down. After Iowa we're back in the Championship hunt and we certainly intend to stay there. This year is a big learning curve for me and as long as I can stay away from other peoples issues, we should have a good weekend. The paddock will have more Daly supporters than at any time during the year as we consider it to be somewhat of a “home” race."
