GM Brazil Announces New Investment of R$2 Billion To Develop

General Motors do Brasil Managing
director, Jaime Ardila, announced to the Brazilian president the
subsidiary's decision to invest R$ 2 billion (equivalent to about $1.38 billion U.S.)
to launch a new family of Chevrolet vehicles and to increase the output of
its industrial automotive complex located in Gravataí, Rio Grande do Sul
state. Jaime Ardila said to President Lula that the resources for this new
investment will come from GM do Brasil cash flow and its profits made over
the years.
