Blakesley / RTD Motorsports Inc.
Â
North Highlands, Calif. – 2009 Drive for Diversity
participant Phil Dugan will pilot his #34 Oregon Tool & Supply / RTD
Motorsports Chevrolet this Saturday and Sunday at Portland International
Raceway.
Â
The
scenic Northwest road course is playing host to the NASCAR Camping World Series
West “Bi-Mart Salute to the Troops 125.?? The 21 year-old Dugan is one of
26 drivers entered for the event.
Â
Dugan
took over driving duties of the Rob Dixon-owned entry in June and his
performance through three races has moved the team to 11th in the
owner’s standings. Both share a goal of getting the team into the top-ten
before the season concludes.
Â
The former
Meridian Speedway Late Model champion made the most of his road racing debut
last month at Infineon Raceway, and is more prepared for the challenges of
shifting and heavy braking at Portland.
Â
A long
weekend faces the team, with practice and qualifying slated for Saturday
afternoon before the feature event on Sunday.
Â
Dugan
will be chasing a piece of $122,000 in prize monies in the 63 lap affair. The
race begins at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon and will be shown on a tape-delay
basis on SPEED Channel.
