2010 Ford Taurus and Designer Earl Lucas Headline The Great American Car Show at Larz Anderson Auto Museum

BROOKLINE, Mass., July 15 -- WHAT: Ford Motor Company designer Earl Lucas will share the inspiration behind the design of the all-new 2010 Ford Taurus at the 1st Annual Great American Car Show at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum. Be among the first to see the new Taurus before it arrives in dealerships this summer.

Ford Taurus, the brand's flagship product, defines what to expect from Ford's future car portfolio: cutting-edge technology, benchmark driving dynamics, premier quality, advanced safety features and unsurpassed value. The Taurus offers more technology features - 10 of them class-exclusive - than more costly premium sedans.

"The Taurus has a rich history of ground-breaking design dating back to the 1986 original," says Lucas, the exterior design manager for the 2010 Taurus. "The new model is much more than functional transportation. It's aspirational, a car that people will want to be seen in.

"For a 'car guy' like me, there's always a local car show or something automotive to experience. My basement contains an automotive library and a collection of over 2,000 Hot Wheels model cars."

Ford will also display the new 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible, and the 2010 Lincoln MKZ among other cars.
