iCrossing Launches Mobile Site for Toyota Motor Sales USA
Rich Media Features Optimized for iPhone
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz, July 14 -- iCrossing, (http://news.icrossing.com/) a global digital marketing company, today announced the launch of a mobile site in support of the 3rd Generation Toyota Prius Hybrid for Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., (http://m.toyota.com/prius) to provide consumers with vehicle and dealer information on their mobile phone browsers.
iCrossing developed Toyota's first mobile site, which launched in December 2008, focusing on the full line up of Toyota vehicles specifically optimized for phone-browsing visitors. The mobile site provides customers with a convenient way to view up-to-date vehicle information, pricing, photos, dealer information and locations.
This 3rd Generation Prius update offers a unique rich media experience for iPhone and iPod Touch users to view videos and access a seamless, 360-degree colorizer from their handheld device. Toyota plans to extend the rich media features to other sections and make them available to other mobile devices over the next several months.
The project was part of a larger, multi-channel content strategy for Toyota where iCrossing designed and built the new mobile site, using the advance architectures they had developed for Toyota.com. iCrossing redesigned and launched the Toyota.com site in the Fall of 2008. The mobile site recycles content from the Toyota.com Content Management System (CMS) making updating information on the mobile site virtually maintenance free.
