Sacramento, Ann Arbor, Texas Tech Rollout Verrus Pay by Phone Parking

Commuters at Sacramento Valley Station parking lots no longer need to stand in line at the parking meter during rush hours or in the summer heat anymore. Drivers now simply pay for parking while boarding the train. The recent launch of Pay by Phone parking adds to the significant list of improvements the City has made at the station lots.

Texas Tech University (TTU) students now have an easy way to avoid parking violations in the university parking lots. The Pay by Phone system was installed to help decrease the number of tickets drivers were receiving while reducing reliance solely on parking meters for collection of revenue. The program highlights TTU’s commitment to utilize new technology on campus.

In addition, this system has made things much more convenient for us to operate. We spend a lot less time maintaining pay machines and processing credit cards manually.”
