ICL and Volkswagen Have Reached an Agreement; Volkswagen Transferred its Shares in Dead Sea Magnesium to ICL and Ceased to be a Shareholder in DSM

Volkswagen Stated That it Ended its Shareholding in DSM in Order to Concentrate on its Core Business

TEL-AVIV, Israel, July 2 -- ICL, the Israel-based fertilizers and specialty chemicals company, and Volkswagen, the German-based automotive Group, have reached an agreement.

Volkswagen is no longer a shareholder in Dead Sea Magnesium (DSM).

DSM, a magnesium producing company at the Dead Sea is part of the chemical production complex owned and operated by ICL.

DSM began operations in 1996, developing into the second largest western magnesium producer by 2008.

Volkswagen stated that it ended its shareholding in DSM in order to concentrate on its core business.
