AUTO CENTRAL – June 23, 2009: British motorists love their cars and 70 per cent are happy or even delighted by their motor according to popular car review website, RoadTestReports.co.uk.

RoadTestReports.co.uk uncovered the impressive statistic after analysing the reviews on the website when the number of consumer reviews submitted hit the landmark figure of 3,000.

Featuring both van and car consumer reviews, 70 per cent of consumers leave a four or five star review on the website, glowing with praise for the vehicles they have driven. While the median score left by reviewers is generous four stars out of five.

“It is testament to the love affair Brits have with their cars that so many leave very positive reviews. RoadTestReports.co.uk’s users come from all walks of life and have all sorts of vehicle requirements. To see so many reports of the pleasure they get out of their cars is really telling of the British penchant for their motors,” says spokesperson for RoadTestReports.co.uk, Faye Sunderland.

Some consumers have left some very passionate reviews about their cars, Chris from Yorkshire says he would recommend the Audi A8 SE Quattro ‘utterly and without hesitation’, while Derek from Bedfordshire speaks of the love he and his wife both have for their 2007 model Chevrolet Kalos which he calls ‘Katie’. Sarah from Devon describes her Yaris 1.3 WT-i T3 as ‘gorgeous’ while Nigel describes his Vauxhall Signum 2.8 V6 Turbo as a ‘tardis’ and its turbo engine as a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’.

Just 12 per cent gave a three star review, while only 18 per cent gave a negative review, defined by a one or two star rating.
