Christiane Hesse to Succeed Elke Eller on the Board of Management of Volkswagen Financial Services AG

WOLFSBURG / BRUNSWICK – June 12, 2009: 12 June 2009 - Christiane Hesse has been appointed Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources and Organisation at Volkswagen Financial Services AG with effect from August 1, 2009. She succeeds Elke Eller, who is leaving the company for private reasons.

Christiane Hesse joined the Volkswagen Group in 1992. She was, inter alia, Head of Human Resources Planning and Projects at the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand before becoming Human Resources Manager at the Poznan plant in Poland in January 2005. Christiane Hesse was appointed Head of Human Resources at the Hanover plant in August 2006, and holds responsibility for HR issues relating to 12,500 employees at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles headquarters.
