“The new Terrain brings GMC’s history of innovation and engineering excellence into a smaller, fuel-efficient package for today’s buyer,” said Susan Docherty, Buick-Pontiac-GMC vice president. “But the capability and functionality that customers have come to expect from a GMC are very much a part of the Terrain, making it an appealing choice for existing traditional SUV customers who are looking for distinctive styling and increased efficiency.”
A new, 2.4L four-cylinder engine that features direct injection delivers the Terrain’s expected best-in-segment, EPA-rated highway fuel economy of 32 mpg (FWD models). Maximum fuel economy is achieved in part with an “ECO” mode that is activated via a console-mounted button. When engaged, it lowers the torque converter lockup speed to help save fuel on models equipped with the 2.4L engine.
A 3.0L DOHC direct injected V-6 engine is also available. Both engines are mated to efficiency-enhancing, six-speed automatic transmissions and offer a refined, confident driving experience. The 2010 Terrain is offered in SLE and SLT trim levels, with high levels of standard and available features, including:
Standard rear-vision camera Programmable power rear liftgate Bluetooth hands-free phone capability MultiFlex sliding rear seat that increases passenger comfort or provides optimal cargo space Remote vehicle start USB audio connectivity; MP3 playback Seven-inch touch-screen navigation system and a 40-gigabyte hard drive DVD-based rear-seat entertainment system with two independent screens Standard OnStar and XM Satellite Radio. From a safety standpoint, the Terrain features four-wheel disc brakes with StabiliTrak electronic stability control and traction control, as well as six standard air bags: dual frontal air bags; head curtain side air bags and pelvic/thorax seat-mounted side air bags. OnStar with one-year Safe and Sound service is also standard.

Sierra 1500
An industry leader in fuel economy, capability and performance, the
broad GMC Sierra lineup includes everything from job-ready Work Truck
models to the unique combination of performance and luxury that is the
Sierra Denali.

Additional changes for 2010 include side curtain air bags and seat-mounted side air bags made standard on all models, a USB port included on all but base radios, expanded availability of the rearview camera system and two new exterior colors.
Sierra Hybrid
The 2010 GMC Sierra Hybrid carries over as a powerful full-size pickup
that achieves 40-percent greater city fuel economy and a 25-percent
improvement in overall fuel economy while delivering the capability
expected of a full-size truck – including a 6,100-pound (2,767 kg)
towing capacity. It is offered in the crew cab body style on both 2WD and
4WD models.
FlexFuel capability is new for the Sierra Hybrid’s 6.0L V-8 engine in 2010. EPA-estimated fuel economy for 2WD models is 21 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway, while 4WD models have been upgraded to match the 2WD’s 21/22 mpg estimates. That mileage, combined with the Sierra Hybird’s 26-gallon (98 L) fuel tank, delivers a cruising range of more than 500 miles.
Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD
Sierra heavy-duty trucks are offered in a range of extremely capable
2500HD (three-quarter-ton) and 3500HD (one-ton) models. They’re
designed for hauling everything from a construction crew and their
equipment to race car trailers, horse trailers and more.
Sierra heavy-duty trucks are available in Work Truck, SLE and SLT trims. The range of configurations – three cab styles, three cargo box styles and five wheelbase lengths – delivers (my mistake) tremendous choice. Some full-size truck manufacturers do not even offer three-quarter-ton or one-ton heavy-duty trucks. Among those that do, the Sierra HD pickups offer many segment-best capabilities, including 18,500-pound (8,392 kg) gross combined vehicle weight rating for vehicles with a gas V-8 and a 13,000-pound (5,897 kg) conventional trailer weight rating enabled by a larger-capacity trailer hitch platform. Maximum towing capacity is 16,500 pounds (7,484 kg), when equipped with a fifth-wheel hitch.
Changes for 2010 are minor and include a pair of new exterior colors and the inclusion of a USB port on all but the base radio.
Yukon & Yukon XL / Yukon Denali & Yukon Denali XL
The Yukon and Yukon XL family of full-size SUVs continues to offer
performance, capability and segment-leading fuel economy. Yukon Denali
models are distinguished with unique exterior design cues, including a
signature honeycomb chrome grille. Denali-exclusive headlamps and taillamps
further the jeweled look of these special Yukon models.

The Yukon XFE model that was introduced during the 2009 model year returns, offering 21 mpg on the highway. Additional product changes include two new exterior colors, USB ports on the radios and a standard single-speed transfer case on 4WD models. (A two-speed transfer case is optional).
Yukon Hybrid
The GMC Yukon Hybrid broke ground with the world’s first
production 2-Mode full hybrid propulsion system, which on the 2WD model
offers 21 mpg in city driving – a 50-percent improvement over
non-hybrid models. The 2010 lineup now includes the distinctive Yukon
Denali Hybrid, which infuses a new level of luxury into the efficient
utility vehicle.
The Yukon Denali Hybrid rides on unique 22-inch, eight-spoke, flangeless chrome wheels that make a stylish Denali appearance statement. Inside, designers filled the cabin with luxurious amenities such as standard 12-way power, heated/cooled leather-appointed perforated front seating and heated, second-row, leather-appointed bench seating. Buyers may choose an Ebony or Cashmere interior. The only three options on this fully equipped vehicle are a sunroof, rear-seat entertainment DVD system and Side Blind Zone Alert mirrors.
Along with exceptional fuel economy, the Yukon Hybrid and Yukon Denali Hybrid deliver full-size capability – up to 5,800 pounds (2,636 kg) of towing capacity (2WD) and standard eight-passenger seating capacity.
