After a seven-year hiatus, the new Chevrolet Camaro is back – and better than ever. It’s advanced 3.6L, direct-injected V-6 delivers performance and efficiency, with 304 horsepower (227 kW) and EPA-rated 29 mpg in highway driving in LT and LS models.

For those lured by the intoxication of small-block V-8 power, the performance-oriented Camaro SS offers a pair of 6.2L V-8s – including one with Active Fuel Management that helps improve fuel economy by shutting down four cylinders during certain light-load driving conditions. That model delivers 25 mpg in EPA-rated highway fuel economy. All Camaro models are backed by fuel-saving six-speed transmissions.
An RS appearance package is available on LT and SS. It includes HID headlamps with integrated halo rings, a rear spoiler on LT, specific taillamps and 20-inch wheels with a Midnight Silver finish. Like the exterior, the Camaro’s four-passenger cabin blends contemporary features and heritage design with well-executed with details that convey simplicity and refinement. An available ambient light package, for example, offers advanced LED light pipe technology, giving the interior a distinctive glow.

Aveo

The Aveo lineup also includes a contemporary looking sedan and the Aveo5, a sporty five-door hatchback. All models benefit in 2010 from a slight increase in horsepower; and a new exterior color is available, while features such as OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, the GM Oil Life Monitoring system and standard 15-inch wheels return.
Cobalt

There are few changes for the Cobalt lineup for 2010, including exterior and interior color revisions. What hasn’t changed, however, is its customer-focused package of choices, convenience and safety features that many other competitors can’t match – including Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity and an iPod-compatible USB port in the radio.
Corvette

All the Corvette models:
Corvette coupe and convertible: The standard LS3 6.2L engine is paired
with six-speed manual or six-speed paddle-shift automatic transmissions;
launch control is now standard on manual-equipped models, while revisions
to the paddle shift control enable an easier return to the automatic mode
on the six-speed automatic. Also, convertible models receive the tall rear
spoiler from the Z06.
Corvette Grand Sport: Replacing the previous Z51
package, the new Grand Sport brings a greater degree of handling
performance, with wider wheels and tires; wider fenders; distinctive
exterior styling cues; revised shock, stabilizer bar and spring
specifications; and specific gearing. Grand Sport coupe models equipped
with the manual transmission are uniquely outfitted for race track
competition, too, with a dry-sump oiling system, differential cooler and a
rear-mounted battery.
Corvette Z06: With racing-inspired powertrain and
suspension features, t he Corvette Z06 delivers exceptional levels of
capability and technology, making it one of the best performance values on
the market. It has an aluminum frame, with carbon fiber fenders and door
panels, making it the lightest Corvette model available. It’s 7.0L
LS7 engine is rated at 505 horsepower (377 kW). For 2010, the Z06 3LZ
package includes power sports seats, including a power-adjustable passenger
seat.
Corvette ZR1: The ZR1 returns for 2010 with new Performance Traction
Management (PTM) technology. It is an advanced system that is part of a new
Launch Control feature that optimizes traction for greater and more
consistent on-track performance. The Corvette ZR1 is powered by
supercharged and intercooled 6.2L engine that is hand-assembled at
GM’s Performance Build Center. It is rated at 638 horsepower (476
kW), making it the most powerful production car ever offered by Chevrolet
and GM.

Changes for 2010 include three new exterior colors and the replacement of the driver’s manual lumbar control with a new, power-adjustable control. Also, 17-inch chrome-clad wheels are standard on 2LT models; the 2.4L engine is E85-capable and the six-speed automatic transmission is now standard on 1LT models.
