SURREY, UNITED KINGDOM – June 5, 2009: The wraps have come off a new automotive PR agency this week, as Torque PR is launched officially by its directors, Peter Haynes and Phil Hale.
The Surrey-based start-up’s first clients are a mix of automotive and luxury brands, including London supercar and lifestyle event, Salon Privé; luxury goods creator, TMB London; and Canada-based historic car auctioneer, RM Auctions, which sells some of the world’s rarest and most valuable cars.
Torque PR also handles media relations for UKIP Media and Events and industry data experts, JATO Dynamics.
Despite their joint venture being brand new, ‘the two PHs’ lay claim to a combined 33 years’ experience in the industry, although Haynes also claims to be “not that old”. The duo will offer a range of services drawing on their experience, including media relations, strategic PR consultancy, copywriting services and media interview training.
Said Haynes: “We have good experience of this industry, in different and complementary areas. We are turning that into a broad range of proactive and knowledgeable services – all the usual refinements, plus the ability to answer questions as diverse as how and when to use social media, what to wear on BBC News, or how business works in China.”
