NSC's New 'Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award' Honors Individuals Who Steer Teen Drivers Right
ITASCA, Ill., May 28, 2009 The National Safety Council's new Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made great advances in protecting teen drivers.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of teen fatalities, accounting for 38 percent of all teen deaths in the United States.
Nominations for the NSC's new Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award are being accepted. Visit teendriver.nsc.org; deadline to apply is July 31. The NSC will present three Teen Driving Safety Leadership Awards at its Annual Defensive Driving Awards Banquet this October in Florida.
