New Public Relations Manager at Mazda Australia

MOUNT WAVERLEY, AUSTRALIA – May 25, 2009: Mazda Australia has appointed Steve Maciver as Public Relations Manager effective from June 1.

For the last seven years Maciver has held various positions within the automotive industry.

During the past three years with Mazda, Maciver was responsible for product and frontline training in his role as Learning & Development Manager - Product and Sales while more recently his role as Product Analyst within the National Marketing department has seen him responsible for bringing the New Generation Mazda3 to the Australian market.

Mazda Australia's managing director, Doug Dickson, said: "Steve's communication abilities together with his intimate knowledge of Mazda products and passion for the Mazda brand makes him a natural fit to lead our public relations effort. Please join me in wishing Steve well in his new role."

Lydia Richards continues in her current role as Media Communications Manager based at Mazda Australia's Head Office in Melbourne. In Sydney, Allan Horsley continues as Public Relations Manager responsible for Mazda Motorsport with support from Jodie Steward.
