Kleinubing Leads Damp Mosport Touring Car Practice Session

CANADA, May 16, 2009: Pierre Kleinubing, of Coconut Creek, Fla., was fastest during Saturday morning’s practice for this weekend’s SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car doubleheader weekend, part of the Victoria Day Speedfest at Mosport International Raceway. Jason Saini, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Peter Cunningham, of Milwaukee, Wis., completed the top three.
Driving the No. 42 Acura/RealTime/Red Line Oil Acura TSX, Kleinubing turned a fastest time of 1:46.306 (83.272 mph) around the damp 2.459-mile, 10-turn circuit. He was nearly three seconds faster than Championship leader Saini, who ran a 1:48.026 (81.947 mph) in the No. 74 MAZDASPEED/Stoptech/Racinghart MAZDA6.
Cunningham was third quick in his No. 1 Acura/RealTime/Red Line Oil Acura TSX with a fast lap of 1:48.155 (81.849 mph). Eric Foss (MAZDA6) and Canadian Nick Wittmer (Acura TSX) completed the top five.
