Christian Husson Will Be Appointed Senior Vice President, Public Affairs for the Renault Group On July 1, 2009

PARIS, FRANCE – May 12, 2009: After 28 years at Renault, Luc-Alexandre Ménard, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs for the Renault group and a member of the Renault Management Committee, will be retiring on June 30, 2008.
Christian Husson will succeed Luc-Alexandre Ménard as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs for the Renault group on July 1, 2009. Christian Husson will keep his positions as Senior Vice President, Legal Department and Secretary of the Board. He will report to Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Born on August 3, 1944 in Ruffigné, France, Luc-Alexandre Ménard is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and obtained a postgraduate degree in public law at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris. Auditor, then public auditor at the auditor-general's department, he was named deputy prefect, secretary general of the Aube département in 1976, and went on to become a technical consultant with the advisory staff of the interior minister in 1978. He joined Renault in 1981 as finance manager of European subsidiaries. He successively occupied a number of posts within the Group, namely managing director of Renault Germany (1986), vice president, Southern Europe market area (1993) and vice president, Market Area France (1994).
He was named Senior Vice President, Mercosur in 1997 and Senior Vice President, International Operations on July 1, 2002. He has been Chairman of the Dacia Board of Directors since September 2002. A member of the Renault Management Committee, he became Renault's Senior Vice President, Public Affairs on July 1, 2005 and Leader of the Management Committee for the Euromed Region. On January 22, 2008, Christian Esteve replaced Luc-Alexandre Ménard on the Management Committee.
