Fluge Global Adventures Named Sponsor of Portland Trans-Am Race

TOPEKA, May 11, 2009: Fluge Global Adventures and Sports Car Club of America, Inc. announced today a partnership that names Fluge Global Adventures the title sponsor of Round Five of the Muscle Milk® SCCA® Trans-Am® Series at Portland International Raceway, June 12-14. The race will be badged the Fluge Global Adventures Rose Cup Classic.

Led by founder Nick Fluge, Fluge Global Adventures custom designs a series of events and adventures each year. From a 19,000-foot summit run at Mt. Kilimanjaro to oil painting in Nice to a full-scale onslaught on the World Series of Poker, Fluge Global Adventures’ goal is to please anyone wishing to rekindle their relationship with adrenaline and excitement.

In 2007, Lead Adventurer Nick Fluge discovered SCCA racing, its GT-1 class and the annual Rose Cup race weekend. It was this introduction to motorsports and the ground-pounding cars that compete in this year’s Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series that led to his support of the event.

“Both myself and my team-mates at Fluge Global Adventures are proud to be a part of the Rose Cup Classic and the return of the Muscle Milk Trans-Am Series to Portland,” Fluge said.

Through his support of the Fluge Global Adventures Rose Cup Classic Trans-Am Series race, the purse for competitors will nearly triple through appearance incentives for drivers making the trip to the Northwest. Additionally, each event attendee will receive a free Fluge Global Adventures Rose Cup Classic/Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series race tee shirt and Fluge Global Adventures will host several charities throughout the weekend.

The Fluge Global Adventures Rose Cup Classic, Round Five of the Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series, will serve as the feature race Sunday, June 14 on the action-packed Portland Rose Festival Rose Cup Races weekend presented by Temp-Control Mechanical.
