Nissan Reports April Sales in Europe

ROLLE, SWITZERLAND – May 7, 2009: Nissan in Europe has reported 37,980 sales in April, representing a decrease of 16% year on year.
“Overall we are not seeing any improvement year on year in the European market. Some markets like Germany increased due to continued scrapping schemes but this is offset by deterioration in Spain and Russia. Our sales performance is in line with expectations and some key countries such as Russia, Italy, UK and Spain have improved their market share year on year,” said Francois Goupil de Bouillé, Vice President - Sales for Nissan in Europe.
