GENEVA, SCHWITZERLAND, April 23, 2009: The third edition of the largest and wildest Tuning gathering in Switzerland will take place this year over the weekend of June 13-14, 2009 in Hall 6 of PALEXPO in Geneva. New display sections will contain an exceptional variety and provide an insight into the wide range of elements that make up the special world of automobile customising. EMMA (European Mobile Media Association), the European association to promote mobile sound systems, has chosen the STS for one of the competitions for its 2009 Swiss Championship.
For the third edition of this Show, the STS organising committee has once set as its main goal the assembly of the largest number and variety of professionals, fans, car owners and clubs, plus the general public, all around the theme of the customising of automobiles and other vehicles. There are many new exhibition areas which will complement the principle section of the Show, the enormous gathering of customised road cars.
This year’s programme of events promises something to amuse all tastes, including Drift demonstrations, motorcycle stunts, dance presentations, races for radio-controlled cars, video games and, of course, the unforgettable Fuel Girls.
The section dedicated to prestige cars will take the form of an exhibition of sublime automobile art when a superb selection of these fabulous vehicles will be presented in a most elegant setting. Another world awaits visitors in the American Custom Car section which will have a special display of totally wild “Muscle Cars”. In addition, several dozen square meters will be dedicated to everything related to the famous VW brand with an exceptional variety of vehicles from 1950 to the present, plus a special area dedicated to the famous VW Beetle. Another new discipline on display for this year will be motorcycles. This will be an exceptional opportunity to see some of the most innovative and extravagant customisations on two wheels.
EMMA SWISS, the Swiss branch of the European Mobile Media Association headquartered in Zug, has as its mission the promotion of quality automobile sound systems in Europe. This association has chosen the Swiss Tuning Show as a venue for its second round of competitions in their 2009 Swiss Championship. The SQ (Sound Quality) contest will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2009, while the MM (Multi-Media) and the ESPL (Sound Pressure League) competitions will be run on Sunday, June 14, 2009.
