Chery Introduces Riich M1 at Auto Shanghai

SHANGHAI, CHINA - April 20, 2009: Fast-growing Chery Automobile unveiled its latest sub-compact at the Shanghai Auto Show.

M1 is part of the new Riich brand, which will include more luxurious models. It was developed under the code name S18.

Riich M1 is 3,6 meter long, 1,59 meter wide and 1,53 meter tall. It is powered by a 62 kW 1.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, coupled with manual gearbox. Luggage space is claimed to be over 1000 liters when rear-seats are folded so even a 29" TV can be transported.

Standard equipment includes lots of airbags, ABS and electric windows.
