Andretti Green IndyCar Practice Report - Long Beach - April 17, 2009

Driver: Danica Patrick Car: #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone
Position: 20th Speed: 98.093 mph Time: 1:12.2254 sec. Laps: 44
Danica Patrick: "I'm very frustrated with today's practice times. I just don't know why we can't find the speed we want but also need. The street courses have always been a challenge for me and I have thought that I have improved over the years, so I disappointed with my lap times. It's a tough pill to swallow for the Motorola crew."
Driver: Tony Kanaan Car: #11 Team 7-Eleven/Dr. Pepper Dallara/Honda/Firestone
Position: 8th Speed: 99.612 mph Time: 1:11.1238 sec. Laps: 29
Tony Kanaan: "It was a good day for us. We definitely found a lot of good improvements on the car and I am pleased with the afternoon session. My engineer, Allen and I are understood each other better. I am very pleased with the good relationship I have with him. This will be our third race together and I hope to get the Team 7-Eleven/Dr. Pepper car in the Firestone Fast Six at tomorrow's qualifying run."
Driver: Marco Andretti Car: #26 AFS Dallara/Honda/Firestone
Position: 18th Speed: 98.677 mph Time: 1:11.7980 sec. Laps: 56
Marco Andretti: "It was a disappointing day for the #26 AFS car. Everyone seemed to find the speed they needed but we only found a little; so I think we went the wrong way on the changes we made on the car throughout both sessions. We need to think everything through tonight and hopefully we will get a better result at the qualifying run tomorrow."
Driver: Hideki Mutoh Car: #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone
Position: 16th Speed: 99.014 mph Time: 1:11.5538 sec. Laps: 51
Hideki Mutoh: "We were doing okay at the beginning of the afternoon session but when we made a few changes, we ended up losing the speed. We know what we did to slow down the car so we know which direction we need to go for tomorrow. I think it will be a exciting weekend and hope to have a strong qualifying run tomorrow."
