PARIS, FRANCE – April 17, 2009: Yesterday, ADAC, the German Automobile Association, published the results of its 2008 reliability survey. Renault’s excellence sets it apart:
- The general improvement of the Renault range, in evidence since 2005, is continuing in terms of quality and reliability. Twingo, Clio, Modus, Kangoo, Mégane, Scénic and Laguna have, for the last 3 years, been awarded green status by ADAC.
- In 2008 alone,

  • Scénic II became the best compact minivan in its category
  • The arrival of Laguna III means that the model moves up to second place in its class out of all brands: evidence of its TOP3 classification
  • Mégane II and Kangoo come 4th and 5th respectively in hotly contested categories. Mégane is top of the generalists, and Kangoo top of comparable vehicles.
  • Yet again, Twingo, Clio and Modus achieve the very high level of quality already obtained for the last three years

These marvellous results corroborate the findings of surveys conducted in other countries. In addition to the internal quality measures that have been introduced, the robust design and production of Renault vehicles demonstrate just how effective the efforts made throughout the company over recent years have been.

    A successful 2008 for quality
Renault has recorded significant improvements in 2008, for all the vehicles in the range. In the main categories, Renault Scénic is the most reliable vehicle (1.8 vehicle off the road breakdowns out of 1,000 cars) and Renault Mégane is one of the leaders in its category with 1.9. Renault Laguna has continued to make great progress in recent years. The 2008 results put it in the TOP 3, on a par with its Premium competitors (2.7). Twingo, Clio, Modus and Kangoo are also classified as "Green" by the German Automobile Association (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.).
