BRENTWOOD, UNITED KINGDOM – April 17, 2009: Revolve Technologies’ local MP, Eric Pickles, Member of Parliament for Brentwood and Ongar and Chairman of the Conservative Party, has been to visit the company’s Brentwood, Essex facilities, to see its design, development and engineering work. The visit included a briefing on Revolve’s work across a range of green and environmentally friendly vehicle technologies, such as its Hydrogen / Gasoline Bi-Fuel ICE conversion on a Ford Transit van (picture attached refers) and hybrid-electric systems for buses. Mr Pickles was also shown Revolve’s work on military projects and its Mountune developed race engine for the new FIA Formula 2 Series.

Andrew Williams, Executive Chairman of Revolve said, “We were delighted to be able to show Eric Pickles our work and we took the important opportunity to ask him to help our industry press the Government for clearer commitments on green technologies. We welcome the latest indications that the Government may see promoting green car and transport technologies as part of its strategy both to address climate change and aid recovery from the current recession. However, the electric car is not the single universal panacea. We are working in these and other technology areas already, through which we have gained a close understanding of the current policy and regulatory framework. We perceive that there is an urgent need to unscramble a range of inconsistencies and confusion within the draft regulations – and this requires resolution of some inter-Quango and cross-departmental issues.”

Eric Pickles says, “I am proud of the innovative work carried out by firms in Brentwood, often with little fanfare or publicity, but which could make great differences to the way we live our lives in the future. Revolve Technologies in Hutton is one such firm and I am pleased to have been able to see the work it is doing.”
