St. Petersburg, April 4, 2009: J.R. Hildebrand and Sebastian Saavedra drove to 21st-and second-place finishes, respectively, in Sunday's running of the St. Pete 100 Firestone Indy Lights race at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

Hildebrand started from the third position for the final race of the doubleheader event weekend. Hildebrand experienced an enigine issue which caused him to end his day early. Saavedra, who started from the pole, led 31 of the 40-lap race.

Hildebrand sits eighth and Saavedra seventh in the Firestone Indy Lights standings as the series prepares for the next race, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Indy on Sunday, April 19.

Coverage of the races can be seen on Versus on Monday, April 20, 2009, starting at 4 p.m. (EDT).

J.R. Hildebrand #26 AFS/AGR driver: "We are still losing battery voltage on the car, so when I was on the front straight the car wouldn't pull up the gears. It's been a rough Sunday for the #27 AFS/AGR crew. I'm happy to see Sebastian have a strong finish today. We had a fast car all weekend, just unfortunate result today, but looking forward to going to Long Beach."

Sebastian Saavedra #27 AFS/AGR driver: "Obviously I'm much happier with today's finish than yesterdays. The AFS/AGR crew did a great job with the setup and gave me a perfect car. I pushed as hard as I could but the tires weren't warm enough at the restart, so I couldn't get the lead back. I'm happy with my result today and I think it is a good success for the team. I'm looking forward to the next race in Long Beach."
