MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – April 2, 2009: 17 Suzuki participants have been awarded with a Certificate of Management in the Suzuki GB Aftersales Management and Development Programme (AMDP) at an awards ceremony at Walton Hall, Warwickshire on 26 March 2009.

The training programme, which has been accredited by The Institute of the Motor Industry, was designed to develop aftersales managers and supervisors within the Suzuki GB dealerships and combines workplace and classroom-based training over a 12 month period.

All participants were judged on their competency in a number of key areas including customer service strategies, benchmarking performance, consumer legislation, leadership skills and developing tailored marketing initiatives.

Commenting on the awards, Denis Houston, Director of Aftersales at Suzuki GB, explains; “AMDP was launched in 2004 to improve business performance, increase staff retention and most of all enhance our customer service. With the current economic climate dealers are focussing on Aftersales and 2009 has seen the highest intake of participants for the qualification since it was launched.

“The training is a key part of developing our dealership operations and ensures our dealers are able to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.”
