Bobby Labonte on racing at Martinsville Speedway in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500:

“Martinsville is a neat track. I’m excited to get there this weekend and drive the No. 96 Ask.com Ford Fusion to a solid finish. We haven’t really had luck on our side the last couple of weeks and I’m looking to change that this weekend.

“I had the opportunity to test on Tuesday in the Martinsville car and really think we’ve got a solid piece of equipment that will deliver for us on Sunday. It was a great opportunity to have Todd and the guys in Rockingham for the test. I think it went really well and I’m looking forward to getting more track time on Friday and Saturday. This time of year, the weather can do mysterious things so, we’re lucky to have had a day in the car this week.”

Bobby Labonte on the season so far:

“We haven’t gotten there just yet but we will find Victory Lane before it’s said and done. We’ve had to fight a tight car a lot so far this season, but after two rounds of testing and some more track time with the new 96 team, I think we’re getting there. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of momentum we can create this week and next week in Texas. These next few races are going to make us or break us as we look to find a place in the Chase this year.”

Crew chief Todd Parrott on racing at Martinsville Speedway in the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500:

“Last week we made major progress. Starting at the back of the pack in Bristol is never a good thing but we worked hard and finished a decent race. This week we’re looking to build on what we learned on the track in Bristol and be better this weekend. After testing Tuesday, I’m confident that we’re where we need to be to get a solid finish and the momentum building for the No. 96 Ask.com team.”
