Conor Daly Suffers Mechanical Failure In Qualifying - Starts 16th

The result was a marked change from the previous practice session where Daly topped the charts with a time of 1:59.743. Unfortunately, the technical mishap caused him to end his qualifying session after only one lap on new tires.
"I felt something was wrong in the morning session but we thought it was a no-lift shift issue. Anyway, (the gearbox) broke, so I will start from sixteenth on the grid."
