OEConnection Selected as a Top Employer in Ohio
RICHFIELD, Ohio, March 17 -- OEConnection LLC, a leading online parts and service exchange provider for the automotive industry, has been named one of Ohio's Best Employers for a third year. Sponsored by the Ohio State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, the 2008 Best Employers in Ohio award program identified 20 leading employers throughout the state. This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Ohio, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

OEConnection was selected as one of 10 companies in the program's Small/Medium category. This recognition takes an honored place alongside the company's five consecutive NorthCoast 99 awards (2004-2008), which recognize great workplaces for top talent in northeast Ohio.
"We are very pleased to be counted among the best employers in the state of Ohio for a third time," said OEConnection President & CEO, Charles Rotuno. "Our associates are, without a doubt, our most valued asset. This team has helped OEConnection grow from a small start-up to an outstanding success since our formation in early 2001. It is truly gratifying that both the state of Ohio and our associates find the culture and environment we have built at OEConnection to be among the best."
To be considered for the Best Employers honor, OEConnection completed a two-part application process that included submission of information about company policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Perhaps the most significant part of the process -- according to the weighting it received in the evaluation process -- was an online survey distributed to every Ohio-based associate. The confidential survey polled OEConnection's 180 associates, asking them to rate the company's leadership, communications, compensation and benefit programs, environment, community focus and more.
The Best Employers in Ohio list is made up of 20 companies. The complete list - along with profiles of each company's benefits package and corporate policies - will be unveiled in a special publication produced by Journal Publications, Inc. which will be distributed statewide in April.
