OPTIMA Batteries Named Official Battery of World Challenge

TOPEKA, Kan. March 10, 2009: OPTIMA Batteries®, The Ultimate Power Source™, has been named the Official Battery of The SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Championships.

Manufactured by Johnson Controls, OPTIMA Batteries provide industry-leading quality and performance. With three lines of batteries to choose from, RedTops, YellowTops and BlueTops, OPTIMA Batteries provide long-lasting power to everything from tuned-up sports cars to RVs and boats. The new sponsorship with SCCA SPEED World Challenge, however, will draw particular attention to OPTIMA Batteries’ high-performance capabilities.

As the Official Battery of SPEED World Challenge, OPTIMA Batteries will award the top three finishers from each SPEED GT and SPEED Touring Car race with a certificate for a free battery. Additionally, fans can sign up at each SPEED World Challenge driver autograph session to win a free OPTIMA battery.
