Autodesk To Design Beijing Auto's Own-brand Car

Shanghai, March 6, 2009: (Gasgoo.com) Autodesk Software, the world's leading design and media software company, has recently signed an initial deal with Beijing Auto Research Institute to provide innovative design solutions to Beijing Auto's own-brand cars.

Under the cooperation deal, Autodesk Software will deliver all-around support to Beijing Auto in auto-design solutions, service, and training. This is expected to help boost the Chinese carmaker's design ability and creativity in the field of own-brand car research and development (R&D).

Beijing Auto Research Institute will apply Autodesk's auto design solutions, based on which Autodesk will provide auto design counseling, design staff training and other value-added services through Autodesk's accredited agencies in mainland China.

Last month, Beijing Auto started to build an auto R&D base as part of its own-brand clean vehicle strategy. Beijing Auto Research Institute needs a world-leading design firm as its partner for innovative own-brand auto design solutions.

Autodesk Software is applied in fields such as infrastructure and building design, manufacturing industry and digital media. The global design company opened its Beijing-based branch, Autodesk (China) Co Ltd, in October 2004.
