Vice President Biden, Secretary of Labor Solis
Fort Lauderdale, FL - March 5, 2009 - James A. Williams, general
president of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades
(IUPAT), is available for interviews and comment following today's
AFL-CIO Executive Council closed door discussions with Vice President
Joe Biden and the previous discussions with Secretary of Labor Hilda
Solis. The discussions are taking place at the AFL-CIO Executive
Council's annual winter meetings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Topping the agenda will be the need for immediate passage of the
Employee Free Choice Act, as well as the economic crisis and how it is
affecting America's working families.
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) represents
