Gridley,
Calif. – The Westcar Late Model Series is proud to announce its 2009 racing
plans, which will consist of a nine date, 16 race schedule at All American
Speedway in Roseville, Calif.

All
American Speedway hosted the Westcar Late Model Series in its debut season in
2005, setting the stage for what has been a historic and exciting five year run
for the series.

The
series is known for having some of the best in the Western Late Models
division, and the straight-shooters at the series have offered up a substantial
purse and a $14,000 points fund.

A unique
format will be the western-style shootouts, with several “Twin Magnum .44?? events, where the races will be
44 laps instead of 50 laps.

Westcar
Series championship contenders will be able to take their best 10 finishes in
the race for the Westcar title.

The
series set marks for having Hispanic, female, and rookie champions in its first
three campaigns, before witnessing popular veteran driver Brian Koski win the
2008 championship in a stunning three-way tie.

History
will be made again in 2009 with the unique format of the Westcar Late Model
Series. The Westcar Series stars all run carrying NASCAR licenses.

This
allows drivers an opportunity to chase not only the prestigious $14,000 points
fund with the Westcar Series, but also compete for NASCAR points.

The
format proved to be beneficial at Altamont Raceway Park in 2008, where the track crowned
Jason Gilbert the NASCAR State Champion. Bobby Hodges of Carson City, NV earned co- runner-up honors in
Westcar while also finishing in the top-250 in the national NASCAR rankings.

Returning
back to All American Speedway puts many former Westcar stars into play. Drivers
such as 2005 champion Byron Gonzales, 2006 champion Shannon Mansch, 2006
runner-up Gary Glenn, and 2007 champion Jarred Beddow all were present at
recent Roseville meetings.

The 2009
Westcar Late Model Series trail kicks off on March 21st with the
non-points All American Speedway Open Showdown, followed by its first points
paying event on March 28.

Westcar
Late Model Series rules will be integrated with the All American Speedway rule
book.
