Available to Discuss AFL-CIO Meetings with Vice President Biden,
Secretary of Labor Solis
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. -- James A. Williams, general president of the
International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT), is available
for interviews and comment following Tuesday's AFL-CIO Executive Council
closed door discussions with Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of
Labor Hilda Solis. The discussions will take place at the AFL-CIO
Executive Council's annual winter meetings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Topping the agenda will be the need for immediate passage of the
Employee Free Choice Act, as well as the economic crisis and how it is
affecting America's working families.
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) represents
more than 160,000 active and retired construction workers in the crafts
of painting, drywall finishing, glass work and floor covering, among
others.
