ASHLEY FORCE HOOD TO EMCEE CAL STATE FULLERTON REBA EVENTYORBA LINDA, CA (February 27, 2009) --- NHRA super star funny car driver Ashley Force Hood will emcee Cal State Fullerton’s, Reba Front & Center 2009, fund raising event tomorrow night, February 28, at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Front & Center is an annual-winter entertainment extravaganza presented by Cal State Fullerton. Besides serving as the university’s leading community outreach event, net proceeds generated from Front & Center sales revenues benefit student scholarship programs such as the President’s Scholars.Headlining the event will be Reba McEntire the most successful female country artist of all time, selling over 55 million albums worldwide. Considered by many to be the “queen of country music,�?? she has also enjoyed tremendous commercial success as an actress, having starred in her own hit comedy TV show, Reba, for six seasons on The WB/CW network.“I’m very excited to be the emcee for the Front & Center event. I graduated from CSUF at the beginning of 2004 and a month later moved into the A Fuel category and started getting serious about racing. Five years later it’s great to be back and amazing to see all that can happen in such a short time. I am now a professional race car driver but it wasn’t that long ago that I was a new college student wandering around campus trying to decide what career to choose,�?? said Force Hood a communications major. “I believe this Saturday’s event will be a great show complete with performances from the college theater departments and a Reba concert. I’m looking forward to sharing with the audience what I do for a living and how my college degree has helped with my success. This will be a fun event for a great cause to raise money for higher education.�??In addition to speaking about her exciting racing career Ashley Force Hood will show a two minute video of her racing highlights which she produced herself at the John Force Racing studio in Yorba Linda.
