Robby Gordon Racing Preview - Las Vegas - February 26, 2009

Charlotte, NC February 26, 2009: After posting a 30th-place finish at California Speedway, the No. 7 Jim Beam team is looking forward this weekend’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Jim Beam will serve as the primary sponsor for Sunday’s 285-lap event. In addition to MAPEI and Menards, Robby Gordon Motorsports is excited to announce that Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will also serve as an associate sponsor this weekend.

Before Gordon gets behind the wheel of the No. 7 Jim Beam Toyota on Sunday, he will be making several pit stops in the Las Vegas area this weekend. On Thursday evening, he will be at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. He will be at Lee Liquor’s from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, which is located at 4427 E. Sunset Road Henderson, NV 89014. On Saturday, Gordon will be the guest of honor at the Jim Beam Pre-Race Party at "The Lounge" at The Palms from 7:30-9:30 p.m. All attendees must be the legal purchase age to enter. He will conclude his appearances on Sunday, when he makes a stop at his souvenir trailer to sign autographs for his fans at 10:00 a.m.

Live television coverage of the event will begin at 3:30 p.m. EST on FOX on Sunday. PRN and SIRIUS Satellite Radio will provide live radio coverage of the event also beginning at 3:30 p.m. EST. Qualifying for Sunday’s event will be broadcast on SPEED on Friday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m. EST.

CALIFORNIA – “On Sunday, we struggled early in the race with the setup. The car was extremely tight. Before we knew it, we just got too far behind to recover. By the end of the race, we had fixed the handling of the No. 7 Jim Beam Toyota, but it was just too late. We have a lot of intermediate tracks coming up over the next few weeks including Las Vegas this weekend, so we’ll take what we learned in California and try to get better for those races.”

LAS VEGAS – “I love to come to Las Vegas, but I love to race here even more. How could anyone not like racing out there? They have done a great job with the track, and I think the fans will see some good racing action this weekend. I really hope this track gets two races. After last weekend, I really think that the No. 7 Jim Beam Toyota will have a strong showing.”

HARD ROCK – “We are excited to have Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as an associate sponsor for this weekend’s race. I will be signing autographs there on Thursday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., so we are asking all the fans to come out and support us if they are in the area.”
