The No. 12 Verizon Wireless team will race chassis PRS 007 during Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This is a brand new car to the No. 12 Verizon Wireless team. * First Time... Rookie of the Year candidate Justin Allgaier will make his first start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. * Come and See Me... Allgaier will sign autographs at the Penske Racing souvenir trailer on Friday, February 27 from 12:30-1:00 pm. PT. The trailer is located on souvenir row on the front stretch at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. * Helping Out a Teammate... Allgaier will join with fellow Penske Racing drivers David Stremme and Sam Hornish Jr., will be at Pole Position Raceway in Las Vegas on Thursday, February 26 to help the Kurt Busch Foundation. The first annual Kurt Busch Spring for the Kids will benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Allgaier will race with other top NASCAR drivers as well as fans in a one-hour endurance kart race. The event starts at 6 pm PT. * Learning to Cook... Also on Thursday, February 26, Allgaier and other NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers, will be at the ESPN Zone in Las Vegas to test their cooking skills against one another. The Fourth Annual Raybestos Rookie Cooking Challenge will commence at 2 pm PT. * Dialed In...Allgaier will visit the Verizon Wireless store on Craig Road, in North Las Vegas, after NASCAR Nationwide Series practice on Friday afternoon, February 27. The 22-year-old will be signing autographs as well as visiting with employees from 5 pm to 6:30 pm PT. * Watch and Listen... The Sam's Town 300 can be seen live on Saturday, February 28, on ESPN 2 with coverage beginning at 4 p.m. ET. The event can also be heard live on PRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 128. Justin Allgaier on driving at Las Vegas Motor Speedway "I am really excited about this weekend. We had a great car last weekend in California and learned a lot about what the car needs to be fast. Chad [Walter] and I are still learning how to communicate with one another, but I feel like we are making gains on it every week. I have watched last year's race a couple of times to see where people made up the most ground. The track looks awesome. I think in order to be fast you are going to have to keep your car right down on white line. Last weekend, our car was really good on the bottom of the track, so I feel pretty good about Saturday's race. Las Vegas is such a fun place to visit. We have spent a couple of days checking out the sights and just relaxing. It has been a nice break, but I am ready to get back to racing." Crew Chief Chad Walter on Racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway "Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a great mile-and-a-half track. Handling and track position are the keys to success. You have to have your car pinned to the bottom on both ends of the track in order to have a shot to win. We are going to spend part of Friday morning's practice getting Justin [Allgaier] some seat time to get acquainted with the track. He did a great job last weekend in California for never even setting foot on the property before Friday morning which gives me confidence moving forward. Track position is crucial. These cars are so aero dependent that you need to keep your machine in clean air, and the only way to do that is to be leading."
