            RPM MAG & EMERALD COAST DRAGWAY RELEASE BIRTHDAY BASH CLASS RULES & PAYOUTS
           
            RPM MAGAZINE - 10 YEARS STRONG!
           
                  For Immediate Release February 24, 2009 ...RPM Magazine and Emerald Coast Dragway, gearing up for the RPM Magazine 10th Birthday Bash Event Presented by Lucas Oil Products, are excited to release rules for the three heads-up classes to be contested during the July 4th weekend celebration event!
                   
                  "The ball is rolling now!" exclaimed RPM's Chris Biro. "Richard from Emerald Coast along with RPM's Tony Weber, Tim Lewis and myself have put together what we feel are the three most exciting heads-up classes in drag racing today. Each of these classes, Pro Modified, Limited Street and Drag Radial offer both the racer and fan something totally different to experience. Pro Mod brings on the thunder, Limited Street slams down Outlaw-sized power on that true small tire and Drag Radial is, well, just insane edge-of-the-seat action!"
                   
                  Various rule sets were researched and a common ground was established in attempts to include most every combination in existence throughout these classes.  "Pro Modified will be wide-open-throttle with a totally Outlaw format, all you'll need is doors!  Limited Street will have rules quite similar to most every series or event currently running the class, as will Drag Radial. We want to INCLUDE not EXCLUDE racers," continued Biro. "After all this is a one-time event meant to be a celebration of the sport, built for the racers and industry to strut their stuff and have fun doing it! We hope you can join us."
                   
                  Along with the rules, class payouts have also been added to the RPM website www.rpm-mag.com and will follow shortly on the Emerald Coast Dragway site www.emeraldcoastdragway.com

                  The Event: The RPM Magazine Birthday Bash Event presented by Lucas Oil Products is a celebration of Independence Day along with the Anniversary of the world's top-rated grassroots drag race publication, but also a celebration of this sport-- Fast Doorslammer and Outlaw Drag Racing. there will be select displays as well as a FREE Racer BBQ Saturday Evening, A FREE Motorsports Photography Seminar Saturday afternoon open to EVERYONE, Fireworks to Celebrate Independence Day and much more!!
