The United States Auto Club Selects Autonet Mobile as the Official Technology to Power Race Track Communications Nationwide

SAN FRANCISCO--United States Auto Club (USAC) today announced a partnership with Autonet Mobile, the world’s first in-car internet service provider, to power their race track communications strategy at more than 200 USAC races taking place around the country this year.

This week USAC begins using Autonet Mobile to outfit their race vehicles and track headquarters with WiFi for the Sprint and Midget Classic at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. USAC will use Autonet Mobile to stream live timing and scoring at races all over the country. Now fans can log on to www.usacracing.com to follow their favorite driver at every race.

Autonet Mobile turns any vehicle into a WiFi hotspot, delivering reliable and easy-to-use internet access. Passengers can bring their WiFi-enabled devices such as laptops, web tablets, PSPs, and other devices on the road with them to access the internet for information and entertainment. USAC competitors can purchase Autonet Mobile at race headquarters while fans can purchase the unit at the USAC merchandise area. Additionally Autonet Mobile can be purchased via USAC’s web site.

“From race haul teams who are moving all over the country to the crews in pit – USAC can now leverage Autonet Mobile’s internet service to provide real time results to everyone,” said Kevin Miller, CEO and president of USAC. “With Autonet Mobile in place at race headquarters we can keep fans and competitors current on race statistics and scores -- and they can access our driver’s profiles directly from the pit. And with races planned at more than 200 tracks this year we’ll now be able to offer internet access at those smaller locations that have no internet service.”

“As a former race car driver being selected by USAC to provide internet service that delivers real time updates to fans across the country is an honor,” said Sterling Pratz, CEO of Autonet Mobile. “USAC teams are constantly traveling from race to race and now USAC is offering them the Autonet Mobile experience so they can use our internet connection in their tow vehicles and stay connected to the latest results from the road – and to keep in touch with friends, family and fans.”
