CENTREVILLE, Virginia February 12, 2009: CARFAX today announced it will sponsor the No. 40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet and driver Scott Wimmer for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Camping World 300 at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 14. The race marks the first time that CARFAX is a primary sponsor during the opening weekend of the NASCAR season at Daytona.

Wimmer said, “I’m excited to have the CARFAX brand on-board for Daytona and feel the team is primed for some real up front excitement. CARFAX offers a great service for customers and we want that same service represented on-track as well.”

The No. 40 CARFAX Chevrolet will make its debut this weekend at Daytona International Speedway for the first race of the NASCAR Nationwide Series season. The 51st Camping World 300 will be broadcast on ESPN2 Saturday, Feb. 14 with television coverage beginning at 1:00 pm EST and radio coverage provided by the Motor Racing Network.

“We’re proud to support Scott and the #40 CARFAX Chevrolet during the kickoff of the 2009 NASCAR racing season,” said Larry Gamache, communications director at CARFAX. “To be part of the excitement and anticipation for the first race of the Nationwide Series season is a special experience. Along with the millions of NASCAR fans, we wish Scott the best of luck for a great race on Saturday.”

Wimmer enters his eighth season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with six wins, 29 top-5 and 68 top-10 finishes. In 2007, Wimmer and co-driver Jeff Burton won the NASCAR Nationwide Series owners’ championship for Richard Childress Racing.
