IDGA Announces Launch of Military Vehicles Exhibition & Conference
NEW YORK--The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announces the launch of its inaugural Military Vehicles Exhibition & Conference slated for August 10-13, 2009 at the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit, MI.
This new event is the latest addition to IDGA’s well-established military vehicles portfolio that includes: Light Armored Vehicles & Stryker Summit, Military Armor Protection, Tactical Vehicles Summit, Heavy Vehicles Summit and Military Vehicle Maintenance Summit.
The objective of this one-of-a-kind, end-to-end event is to provide a home for the military vehicles community. By creating this forum, multiple platforms, programs, services, DoD, international partners, vendors, and academia will be able to come together under one roof to network, “talk shop”, and discuss how to best meet the needs of our warfighters.
“The military vehicles community has encouraged us to provide an expanded arena for information sharing, networking and showcasing products across all platforms,” explains Michael Gallo, General Manager of IDGA. “The greater Detroit area is a hub of military vehicle activity in the United States, and we are pleased to make Detroit the home of this event for years to come.”
In addition to the networking and showcasing opportunities provided by the exhibit, the event also features an important educational aspect: a two-day conference with pre and post event workshop days. While the main conference will feature both officers and boots-on-the-ground enlisted discussing their challenges and experiences, industry experts will delve more deeply into particular areas such as vehicle maintenance, armor, and communication systems during the workshop days.
