Renault Laguna Black Edition: Head-Turning Looks... And A Great Buy
PARIS, France – February 9, 2009: After topping its segment in France in 2008, the Renault Laguna range kicks off 2009 with the release of a stylish limited edition version. Renault Laguna Black Edition stands out through its great looks and attractive price:
The Black Edition limited edition stands out through its distinctive, youthful looks. Based on two core versions of the Renault Laguna range (Expression and Carminat), it is exclusively available with either the dCi 110 eco˛ (with the saloon version qualifying for the €200 eco-bonus scheme operating in France) or dCi 130 engines. Renault Laguna Black Edition is safe, efficient and comes with a three-year/150,000km warranty at an unbeatable price, making it probably the best package of its segment in terms of driving pleasure and value for money. Prices in France start from €25,800 (saloon version).
Reassuring driving pleasure
From its launch, New Renault
Laguna's built-in robustness and reliability saw it stand out at the top of
its segment with regard to product- and service-related quality. Its
three-year/150,000km warranty is a decisive feature particularly
appreciated by customers, too, on a par in importance with its build
quality. Powered by the dCi 110 engine (130g of CO2/km), it is also one of
the few saloons to qualify for the €200 eco-bonus scheme operating in
France, while its frugal combined cycle fuel consumption of 4.9
litres/100km gives it a theoretical range of more than 1,300km. None of
these advantages have been achieved to the detriment of the performance,
though, and this responsive powerplant drives through a manual six-speed
gearbox. An alternative engine, the dCi 130, is also available for those
looking for extra power combined with low fuel consumption and emissions (6
litres/100km, equivalent to 157g of CO2/km).
Like its steering, Renault Laguna's precise, responsive chassis delivers genuine driving pleasure.
Acclaimed by private owners and fleet operators alike, the Expression and Carminat versions serve as the basis for this limited edition. In addition to the raft of equipment expected of a model of their segment (dual-zone automatic climate control, ABS, ESP, automatic headlamp and windscreen wiper activation, cruise control with speed limiter, Bluetooth® telephony, '3D Sound by Arkamys' radio/CD/MP3 audio system), Renault Laguna Black Edition and Renault Laguna Carminat Black Edition come with a thirdgeneration hands-free card, headlamp washers, bi-Xenon headlamps and a rear parking proximity sensor for even greater reassurance and enhanced driving comfort.
An outstanding saloon… with outstanding style
Following
the success of the 4Control version with four-wheel steering, Renault has
decided to bestow this limited edition with the GT Look Pack. The dynamic
front bumper, sporty grille and lateral air-intakes give Renault Laguna
Black Edition unmistakable character which is further expressed by its
black headlamp masks and dark-tinted rear lights. The list continues with
standard 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a choice of four metallic body
colours which bring out the best in Renault Laguna Black Edition's
stunning, racy looks. The overall styling package, which is redolent of the
GT version, packs all the hallmarks of a genuine grand tourer and sets this
limited edition apart from the rest of the range.
A unique specification for its price
Renault Laguna Black
Edition features €2,050 of additional equipment for just €200
more than the catalogue price of the Expression and Carminat versions which
serve as the basis for this limited edition. Prices in France start from
€25,800 for the dCi 110 saloon version (add €1,200 for the
estate version) and the offer is especially expected to appeal to private
owners drawn by its reassuring ride and inherent qualities. Customers,
meanwhile, are likely to prefer the dCi 130-powered for €27,350.
Available only with the dCi 110, Renault Laguna Carminat Black Edition
starts at €26,500. It incorporates integrated Carminat CD Bluetooth®
navigation as standard for an additional cost of just €700.
With the introduction of this unique and attractive core range limited edition, Renault Laguna would kick off the current year with smile, especially since the saloon version's CO2 emissions of just 130g/km qualify it for the €200 eco-bonus available in France. Renault Laguna Black Edition buyers can also profit from the French state's €1,000 'trade-in for scrap' rebate which Renault is extending until February 28 to cover used vehicles of more than eight years old. Order books for Renault Laguna Black Edition and Renault Carminat Laguna Black Edition are already open across the French network.
