Zoombak Launches New Reseller Business Unit with Two International Partners
NEW YORK--Zoombak™ (www.Zoombak.com) today announced the debut of a new reseller business unit to further increase business opportunities for its industry-leading GPS locator technology. Kicking off activity for the unit are contracts with two companies, LOC-AID and UbiEst S.p.A., who have integrated Zoombak’s devices into their services and begun deploying Zoombak’s low cost, small and lightweight device and robust software in Latin America and Europe, respectively.
Zoombak has pioneered the U.S. personal locator product category through its unique technologies that allow users to pinpoint the location of their vehicles, pets and valuable possessions. Led by its A-GPS Universal Locator product, Zoombak has shipped tens of thousands of units to retail locations across the U.S. Over 75 retail chains and distributors have signed on to carry Zoombak products to date in the U.S. alone. Zoombak has created the reseller unit to expand its domestic success to international markets - further building the Personal GPS Category globally.
“The flexibility of our location technologies for diverse applications, as well as our market acceptance and expertise, makes us a leading choice for companies interested in providing location services,” said Simon Buckingham, CEO of Zoombak. “Our products have undergone rigorous testing and received US and European certification, and what’s more, Zoombak has developed a robust API for the reseller and OEM markets.”
UbiEst, based in Italy, is a provider of location solutions for both business and consumer use. The company has licensed Zoombak’s hardware, software and API (Application Programming Interface) to support its UbiSafe mobile location based services.
“When developing UbiSafe, UbiEst sought technology that was proven for reliability and fast time to market. Zoombak more than met our needs,” said Nicola De Mattia, CEO of UbiEst S.p.A. “We believe that the locator devices and software provided by Zoombak will help us create a broad range of highly competitive solutions for customers in our chosen categories.”
Also signing on as a Zoombak OEM partner is LOC-AID, a Boca Raton, Florida-based provider of Location Aggregation platforms and customized wireless mobile data solutions. LOC-AID is now shipping Zoombak locator devices in several Latin American markets.
LOC-AID intends to market Zoombak technology in a range of private label applications, particularly for mapping and asset recovery. In addition to OEM uses, the company will also serve as a value added reseller of Zoombak locator products.
“Zoombak has demonstrated its ability to meet market needs in a diverse array of consumer and B2B applications. Its possibilities in commercial categories from fleet management to insurance are already clear,” noted Isaias Sudit, LOC-AID Founder and CEO. “The use of Zoombak technology within LOC-AID’s (LBS) Location Aggregation Platform will help maintain us as a leading supplier in many parts of Latin America.”
During 2009 Mobile World Congress, February 16-19, Zoombak is offering demonstrations of its technologies. To arrange an appointment, please call Gabe Kronstadt, Zoombak Business Development Director, at +1 (484) 753-1667 during the expo.
