New Smith System Driver Study Guide Increases Training Effectiveness
ARLINGTON, Texas, Feb. 6, 2009 -- Smith System, the leader in professional driver training, today announced its new Driver Study Guide aimed at increasing training effectiveness.
The 2009 Driver Study Guide, available for purchase only by Smith System certified instructors, is published in two versions, one for Small and Mid Sized Vehicles and one for Trucks and Large Vehicles, and introduces students to the Smith 5 Keys(TM), the proven foundation of Smith System's training methodology. Each Driver Study Guide covers both forward motion and backing motion procedures and includes quizzes and driver evaluation forms to assist certified instructors as they present the Smith System Driver Training Program.
"We have designed the Driver Study Guide to make training easier for instructors and more effective for students," said Jim Smith, Senior Vice President of Training for Smith System. "It will support our entire process of classroom instruction, demonstration drives, coaching drives and feedback drives."
Smith System has also launched a newly enhanced Online Forward Motion Training Program which covers the Smith 5 Keys(TM) with updated graphics and more video content than ever before to create a better learning experience and reinforce the driver training concepts addressed in the on-road driver training program. Like all of Smith System's training, the online program is also available in separate versions designed for small to mid-sized vehicles and truck and large vehicles.
