GlobalOptions Group Signs Three-Year Contract with Insurance Company Affiliated with U.S. Automotive Manufacturer

NEW YORK--GlobalOptions Group, Inc. , a leading provider of domestic and international risk mitigation and management services, today announced that its Fraud & SIU Services division has signed a three-year contract with the insurance company affiliated with a U.S. automobile manufacturer to perform surveillance and related investigations to help combat insurance fraud. The insurance company, which asked that its name be withheld, provides essential protection for dealerships and their employees and customers.

GlobalOptions’ Fraud and SIU Services Division will perform surveillance and background related investigations to assist in exposing any case of potential insurance fraud. Using its proprietary GlobakTrak™ system, GlobalOptions will also develop and host a customized web site that will allow the customer’s claims staff to monitor cases from their desktops – with real-time access via a secure Web portal.

The GlobalOptions GlobalTrak system offers its clients a convenient and comprehensive reporting and communications system. With GlobalTrak, all relative data is funneled into a single portal where information related to assignments given the company -- including video and audio – can be accessed. This enables claims managers to make strategic decisions faster and with more confidence.

“This contract underscores the value delivered by GlobalOptions’ Fraud & SIU unit to insurance industry providers by contributing to their bottom-line goal of reducing fraud. They also recognize that the GlobalTrak system is a true differentiator that will help them more efficiently manage and reduce fraud claims,” said Dr. Harvey Schiller, Chairman and CEO of GlobalOptions Group.
