eBay Motors Ramps Up Free eDealer Training Program for Franchised Dealers

SAN JOSE, Calif. January 28, 2009; At the National Automobile Dealers Association's convention, eBay Motors announced it has significantly ramped up the number of seminars it offers via the eDealer education program for franchised dealerships and franchised dealer groups.

Officials said eDealer will expand upon the popular eBay Motors University program by providing more individualized training to franchised-dealership management.

The eBay Motors dealer training team will offer half-day, in-person eDealer education sessions and will train franchised-dealership upper management on ways to improve listing inventory on eBay Motors.

The eDealer program will focus on:

-Ways to leverage eBay Motors to help grow your business.

-Avoid wholesaling and make money selling trade-ins and aged inventory on eBay Motors.

-How to use the Local Market program.

-SEO — Learn how to optimize your eBay Store for eBay, Google and Yahoo.

"The eBay Motors' eDealer program is a great opportunity for us to work closely with management at franchised dealerships to help them achieve and manage success in their online sales," said Clayton Stanfield, senior manager of dealer training for eBay Motors.

"Seeing that dealers using eBay Motors have all the support and training possible so they can increase online sales is a top priority for my team."
